This is a weird i, one for the experts. Supposedly it is registered to an "R. Wilson". Most discographies emend this to "B. Wilson/R. Wilson", assuming (incorrectly according to http://www.btinternet.com/~bellagio/productions.html) that "R. Wilson" is Ron Wilson, drummer for the Surfaris. More probable, R. Wilson is a different Ron Wilson, who released a single ("I'll Continue On Loving You" b/west "Every bit Tears Get Past") co-p by BW in September '68 (same time "Nosotros're Together Once again" was recorded). The dates atomic number 82 me to believe that the R. Wilson of "Nosotros're Together Again" is, in fact, probably this Ron Wilson. Only he couldn't maybe take written this song solo!?!

Surfermoon.com emends the credit more ambitiously to Brian Wilson/Carl Wilson, going presumably by the vocals and the fact that no other Bbs or Brian vocal or production credits R. Wilson ("I'll Keep On Loving Yous" having plainly escaped their notice).

The tune couldn't have been omitted from 20/20 for reasons of weakness ("Bluebirds Over the Mountain", anyone?)...maybe there was another reason, and maybe Ron Wilson, whoever the auspiciously-named dude may be, is role of that reason...

    One extra note.

The harmonic structure of the song is not helping me effigy this one out. WTA is not an especially advanced limerick harmonically; it does, however, comprise a lot of central changes (including a series of upwardly modulations very characteristic of Brian). Ignoring key changes, the song basically uses major and small-scale chords of the I six Four V diverseness, without any unusual bass notes.

  3. Judging from the BMI list (which is where the money goes/comes from), it's the Surfari.
  4. R Wilson is the blood brother noboby has ever seen or heard from! who is actually Brians Twin! thats how brian Has come back !

If "We're Together Once more" is solely by R. Wilson, why is information technology published by Irving Music (Brian'south publisher), when the exactly contemporaneous, self-written R. Wilson single "I'll Keep Loving You lot" is published by "Ron Wilson Music Productions" ???
  6. I'm just passing on the information. No need to become huffy.

There'south also no demand that yous take the same publisher throughout your career. Especially when (merely a guess) yous requite up your own publishing on a song in society to get someone else to record it.

    Geeze.

Sorry - didn't mean to sound huffy! It's awfully hard to become tone beyond when typing for speed late at night. Nor was I disputing your contribution. Just engaging with it detective-style. I never idea to await it up this-a-wise and I'm grateful for the info!
  8. Brian co-produced a session for one Ron Wilson on June 28, 1968. Both songs recorded that day were released every bit a single in September of that yr.
I'll Keep On Loving You/Every bit Tears Go By (Columbia 444636)

According to the Embankment Boys writer Andrew M. Doe:
"Co-produced with Ron Wilson, who is non the drummer of The Surfaris. Information technology's a pretty safe bet that he'southward the R. Wilson credited as composer of "We're Together Again".

That vocal was recorded but a month prior, on May 26 and 28.

Effectually that fourth dimension, Brian and Ron had formed a visitor called Brian-Ron Production Company.

  9. "Nosotros're Together Again" ever reminds me of the verses of "Deirdre" for some reason. They sound very simillar to me.

The progression isn't that different! Mostly it'due south I-Four followed by a cursory passage with descending chords. Expert ears!
  11. Exactly! He was separated at nascence and raised by wolves in the So Cal. mountains.
The fourth dimension Brian was supposed to be "laying in bed", was actually a stopgap in order to train "R" to have his place in the ring. The experiment wasn't completely successful.
  12. Wasn't his real name William Campbell?

  13. William Campbell was the guy who took Paul Mccartney'due south place in The Beatles after he was killed in that auto accident. ;)
